Please Tell Me A Love Story

I am collecting love stories for a future installation.

These stories may be told to me in person, over the phone, or through other means of communication such as email or text messages.

With those storytellers who talk to me, I will record the tales with a digital audio recorder.

I will then write out these stories on long strips of paper.

The long strips of paper will be hung in a gallery space, close to the ceiling, with several strips trailing to the floor. The picture here is a sketch of what the project will look like.

Love stories I’m interested in include love that is romantic, between friends, or family members, though these stories may also be about pets, objects, moments, etc. The tone of these stories may be sad, happy, confusing, ambiguous, etc.

These stories will be heard or read only by me in their totality, unless a teller gives me permission otherwise.

I will respect your anonymity and confidence with what you tell me.
